The city life

Cricket's the ticket
On my way to the bus stop I caught a cricket. They seem to come out as the day draws to a close.
To the city
I went to the bus stop and caught the next outgoing bus to the city.
?????
Upon entering the city, a strange door caught my eye. I wasn’t allowed in because I lacked the proper credentials.
Phineas
Phineas was nice enough to cheer me up by giving me a bubble blower. This’ll provide hours of fun.
Back alley
Katrina
On the other side of the city, and another dark alley, was the entryway to Katrina’s fortune-telling shop. She foretold my future, but didn’t really say anything specific. I’m not sure if those 100 Bells were worth it or not.
Shampoodle
Mii Makeover
Geno Mii Mask
Maybe a little pampering at Shampoodle would do the thing to do. Harriet suggested a makeover, so I decided to give it a try. The first time is free, so how could I turn down such an offer. A few moments later I was a changed man. I looked quite different from before, but I could return to my former self whenever I wanted to. I decided to save this face for another time.
Kicks
A peppy little skunk offered to shine my shoes. Everyone is offering their services for free today. It must be part of some house-warming package set up by Tom Nook, or someone else in the village. Everyone here is so friendly.
Ticket Clerk
Psych!
The fun continued in the theater. I purchased a ticket to Dr. Shrunk’s show. The poor fellow seemed a bit nervous on stage, but he got his act together. His show climaxed with a pose like none I had seen before. I’m going to remember it and use it wherever I can.
HRA Lyle
HRA room
Next to the theater was the headquarters of the Happy Room Academy, which is run by Lyle. Depending on how you set up your room, you’ll get a score that tells you how well-designed your room is. The show room had nothing to offer at the moment.
Auction House
The city also has an auction house run by the Gyroid Lloid where you’ll be able to bid an a variety of goods. There’s nothing being offered at the moment.
Gracie Grace
Gorgeous prices
Leaving Gracie's
My final destination in the city was Gracie Grace, a high end boutique. Aside from clothing, the shop offers a variety of fashion accessories and even an ultra-high-end line of furniture. The stuff offered is not cheap. I’ll have to save my Bells for a long time before I can afford much of anything offered here. The service is top notch, though. I’ll definitely return.
To The Moon
My time in the city was quite memorable, but after a while it was time to head on home to The Moon. I returned to the bus stop and hitched a ride back to town on the next bus.

Now museum, now you don’t

November 19th, 2008 by KingDarian | No Comments | Filed in Animal Crossing

There’s so much to do, but it looks like most of my first day was spent collecting items for the town’s museum.
Resetti
Before heading off, Mr. Resetti popped up and warned me to save properly. He also thanked me for purchasing Wild World.
Friends
I then added all of the Friend Codes I knew to my list. I’m hoping to make much more use of this later on.
Cherries
Cherries are The Moon’s native fruit. I picked up a few to snack on.
Dug up a fossil
Parasaur torso
Fossil gallery
Stego Skull
Icthyo torso
I purchased some tools from Nook’s Cranny and made good use of them. My first dig yielded an ancient fossil. I later found two more to add to my collection. A trip to the museum led me to discover what kind of fossils they were. I found a Parasaur torso, a Stego Skull, and an Icthyo Torso.
Mantis
Migratory Locust
Monarch Butterfly
Insect habitat
Long Locust

Curly loves bugs
A stick...that walks?
I’m surprised at how many insects there are roaming around this village. Everywhere I turn, there are locusts, butterflies, and sometimes even mantises and walking sticks. I caught as many as I could and donated them to the museum. The insect exhibit should provide an adequate environment for all the bugs to live together. But the museum isn’t the only place to drop off the bugs you an collect. I found that Curly is quite fond of bugs, and he offered me a nice sum of Bells for a Migratory Locust I had caught. What a deal!
Can't
Cherry Salmon!
Fishtanks
Popeyed Goldfish!
Pale Chub!
Rainbow trout!
I then tried my hand at fishing. While it didn’t come off of a great start, I began to catch a wide variety of fish eventually. The museum is even equipped with some monstrous fish tanks capable of holding all kinds of underwater creatures.
Special delivery
Kitty's reward
Kitty had a package that she wanted delivered to Pudge. I offered my services and brought it to him post haste. This cat must be loaded! She gave me over 500 Bells for my troubles.
Front of Slot Bros.
Back of Slot Bros.
I ended my tour of the town with a visit to the Able Sister’s Tailor shop. I designed a stunning outfit to wear. They were so overtaken with its grandeur that they just had to sell it in their shop. If you visit my town sometime, you can pick one up for yourself!

Next, I think I’ll see what the big city has to offer.
